Yes, live and learn. It’s getting late and I’m getting annoyed. I’m probably going to have to tell them I have plans next week and will not be able to dog sit. As much as I don’t want to do this, I’m going to have to.

Well, this is pretty short notice for them for you to tell them now that you can’t sit next week. I don’t understand if you were so concerned why you didn’t call them this whole week to find out what time they’d be picking up the dog.
