Dog Surgery

My dog, Cookie, is having ear surgery tomorrow morning. Please pray that the surgery will go well and that she’ll be able to recover quickly. I don’t have children so Cookie is definitely my baby and I hate to see her in pain. By the way, Cookie is a 10 year old Pit Bull/Dalmatian mix who’s very friendly and obedient.
 
O Blessed Saint Roch, patron of dogs, have pity on those animals who lie upon a bed of suffering. Your power was so great when you were in this world, that by the Sign of the Cross, many–both man and animal–were healed of their diseases. Now that you are in Heaven, your power is not less. Offer, then, to God our sighs and tears and obtain for us a safe and successful surgery for Cookie, and a swift recovery for her. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Roch, pray for Cookie, that she may be preserved from all diseases of the body and soul.

Thank you for praying for Cookie. The surgery went well and she is now back home. She’s sleeping a lot and drinking oh so much water but it’s normal with the medicines she was prescribed. It will take a while for her to recover but I’m doing my best to keep her comfortable.
 
Sounds like everything is under control. 🙂 I remember how worried i was when our lab had his knee replaced.
