I greet you all in the peace of our risen saviour,
Again, just a small note thanking all of you for the charity and kindness you extend to me.
Please join me in praying for the return of tradition to this land of mine, South Africa which is dedicated to Our Blessed Mothers glorious assumption.
Through the decades following the Vatican Council, as with most of the church saw in this land a serious decline in the beauty and glory of catholisism. These are merely sentimental issues the real problem here now is the severe indifference toward the church, coupled to a real ignorance amoung the faithful, concerning their faith.
I do not presume myself to be a saintly doctor of the church, all that i really am is a child of God tained by sin to the utmost extreem. I have manged to, though this be my condition, recognise the dangers that the church here in South Africa is heading toward.
Issues being promulagated throughout Catholic South Africa, are those such as inculturisation- a questionable teaching proposed by the concilliar church, which has ended up in producing results such as incorporating into the sacred liturgy prayers to the ancestors, the offering of lifestock -(goats chickens)within the mass itself(thank God not in a ‘bloody’ manner, and the substitution of proper church apparel with more secular african images.

Not only this, but more worring is the decline in ‘true’ vocations, as a result of the extreem poverty which ravages our country, the religious life is seen not as religious at all but rather as a means of survival, a car , a house, food and a monthly allowance for nothing. this is a general overview, i do not include those few who are most definatly not that which is described above.And I do mean few…
True catholic faith has dwindeled to the point of being laughable, doctrine, the teachings of the magisterium the true aspects of our dear faith are in danger of being lost. Priests preach at mass that the presence of Christ in sacred scripture is equal to that of his divine presnce in the most blessed sacrament.
Catholic schooling and the chatichism provided to the young ones, is proving more to be ineffectual.
Schools, those which are still open- and completly void of any sence of Catholic ethos- have managed to now become money making operations, it doesent matter if you are catholic or not, as long as you bank balance is big enough they’ll take you in.
Forgive me, it has become something of dream to see returned a once thriving church to not only our land but indeed to the rest of the church. I pray that with the continued guidence of the holy Ghost and our dear and Good Mother the Theotokos - The Holy father, may contune his work of reforming the reform, so that finaly we may see again maybe not us but our children, the eventual triumph of Our dear Lady’s Imacculate heart.
