Anyone up to snuff on the Dominican laity or Dominican secular orders?
I’d like to join a secular order or a lay group with the intention of eventually making “promises”, or possibly consecrating myself, and to live out my life in such a state.
I am attracted to various charisms and the Dominican order seems to maintain one that appeals to me; as well as the Carmelites.
I tend to be attracted to several forms of spirituality but I maintain a consistency in my desire for orthodoxy (and I tend to be turned off with various forms of social activism and politics; I believe in the catechism and if it happens to intersect with various issues, then so be it).
God bless to all.
