Is anyone familiar with this Order of Nuns? They are located in Lockport, LA. They are very small, but are very wonderful. If you would like to learn a little more about them, they have a blog at the following address: www.xanga.com/ldominican
 
The site doesn’t tell much about them. What more do you know?
 
I’m in contact with Sr. Mary Catharine of the Dominican Nuns monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary in Summit, NJ. She told me that the Lockport nuns aren’t a fully Dominican Nuns yet, but a diocesan community. There are only a few of them but they sure have that Dominican joy!

My sister entered the Dominican Nuns of the Monastery of the Heart of Jesus in 2005. She absolutely loves it there. She is very happy. Her name is Sr. Mary Agnes of the Annunciation.
 
Yes, this community is in union with Rome. They currently are a congregation of Diocesan rite, living under the auspices of a local bishop.
