Sometimes the best means of conversion is to love the person unconditionally and be a good person. Many times these people have directly or indirectly been victims of “traditional Christians” and thus partially associate the Catholic Church with it. To show them unconditional love soften hearts.
Unconditional love, yes. Unconditional approval of or agreement to a spiritually destructive life, no.
I can’t think of a case of hypocrisy as large in magnitude as heterosexuals bashing gay people for being “sodomites” then going home and engaging in sodomy on a regular basis.
How does one who chooses no or not to start any sexual life reach such a conclusion?

It’s rationalization and bitter, unproven generalization of a certain kind of shunned sex practice associated with active gay males. The claim that heterosexuals are also into sodomy as is your justification, taking the common connotation it has, i.e., anal sex, is overstated. It is doubtful that heterosexuals are largely into said practice on a regular basis. It is reportedly painful and unquestionably unhealthy, even with protective aids, as foreplay or substitute to regular intercourse. It might be that some heterosexuals would experiment and a subset of that would develop the propensity for it. Based on readings of studies, what would be credible at best is a third of sexually active heterosexuals may be engaging in it, versus a third of actively sexual homosexuals NOT engaging in it or avoiding it.
