:nun1:The Dominican Sisters of Peace are a new community,found in April,2009 on Easter Sunday. They came about when several already existing Dominican communities decied to amalgamate,and join together to expand their ministeries and better serve their order’spirit.
The communities that make up this new one are:
Dominican Sisters of St.Rose of Lima,Oxford Mich.
Dominican Sisters,Congregation of St.Mary,New Orleans
Dominican Sisters of Columbus
Dominican Sisters of Great bend,Kansas
Dominican Sisters of St.Catherine, St.Catherine,Ky
Eucharistic Missionaries of St.Dominic,New Orleans
Some of these communities, if not all were in the book Convent Life,by Joan Lexcau,published in 1964.
