I loved the movie! The graphics are so well done and I think there was just the right amount of humor/battle and some character building. They’ve done a good job incorporating parts of comics from what I hear.
The fact that it’s a 2-parter has been advertised for quite some time now if you’re into Marvel and know the whole Phase system they’ve set up. Most of the films somehow add to each other and in this case, Avengers 4 will literally finish that story arc. It’s also so completely obvious that the end of that movie isn’t the end of everything… Marvel isn’t stupid and they sure know not to throw away money from certain… blockbuster-esque films that have come out recently…
I think that there are some great things said such as “We don’t trade lives” “Today we fight for all lives” and just the fact that so many heroes gather together. There is a sense of remaining nobility in these characters even after all they’ve gone through and each one brings some sorrow and strength to the table.
Marvel films have always had crude humor/swearing but considering these aren’t Deadpool, I’m fine with it.
Sometimes, it seems as though fans get so upset when something doesn’t go their way even though they have zero say as to how the screenplay is written and how the directors choose to do things…

I don’t know what you are talking about.

The movie was awesome.

And anyone who follows the Marvel movies has known for a few years (ever since Avengers Infinity War was announced) that it was going to be “Infinity War Part 1 and Infinity War Part 2”

Plus, anyone who follows the comics knew that Thanos was going to win and win by simply snapping his fingers.

“Infinity War Part 2” was always the original working draft name of the Avengers 4.

Yes how dare ten years worth of movies all building to a single climax have a two-part finale.

It’s as bad as The Lord of the Rings being stretched into three movies by greedy profiteers, or Empire Strikes Back forcing us to watch Return of the Jedi.
Avengers Infinity War is the best cliff hanger since Empire Strikes Back and honestly even a better cliff hanger!

Also, itz totally heretical & Godless
Thor is a god. And a mighty cute one!

So it’s not totally godless.
Also, I believe Loki is in it and wouldn’t he count as a god?

In terms of disclosure, it was announced as a two parter back in 2014.
Argh!@ I guess I don’t pay much attention to fan stuff with movies. Anyway, my plan to wait was nixed and I have to go now. I can’t back out on a promise.

I did not know that about Tolkien though, and I thought I knew most everything about him. It is interesting that Lewis was able to publish seven books for his epic work, but those are more stand alone, and he was a more prolific author. Well, I learned something today.

I heard a lot of people die and I don’t know if I can handle that emotionally. I love Thor and everyone in it, and so I’ve been told not to watch it.

I hope Thor is okay. Thor’s the best. I’ll riot if he’s hurt or killed.
Don’t worry. No one in comics is ever forever dead.

Except Uncle Ben. That door nail can’t catch a break ☠️

😂

Speaking of which, I hope Aunt May is okay. Hubba-hubba ❤️

Someone edited my post by adding (spoiler warning)
I sed nuthin bout characters or plot.
I guess i’ll try some illicit editing also

End_Timer, not to spoil anything for anybody else, but:
  1. Which character said there was a chance for success?
  2. What did he do that he swore never to do (specifically with what item)?
  3. What did he say after he did what he did?
Put it all together and it looks like it’s part of a plan!
Yeap. I think off screen, they all discussed that character’s plan when they were planning to attack Thanos.

I think at least two of them knew exactly what was going to happen. The one told the other(s)

Yeah, I’m curious who else (if anybody) knows the plan. Since the odds are so stacked against them things have to work out very specifically and likely has to come about naturally.

We’ve got plenty of time to simmer over that. For now I’m looking forward to the next two Marvel movies: Ant Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel.

I think at least one was told the plan.

And I too can’t to see Ant Man

The after credits scene hinted at Captain Marvel. I’m guessing she’s going to have a pretty big role in the story arc.

Okay, I made it. That said, know the ending helped, as it didn’t ruin the movie with a crummy ending. The dialogue, interaction, and action for the movie was great, and well worth it.

Just saw it. Finally. Still packed theater. There were people, perhaps half the theater, who started filing out when the credits started. My guess is that those who did that were possibly disappointed at the ending. But those franchise always have a kicked during or after the credits.

Overall good action, and a suprising number of humorous places to break up the tension. Thor’s running joke of calling Rocky a rabbit is f u n n y.

Do you know how horrible LOTR would be if it was crammed into one movie. I’m sure most people that saw this movie knew that there was going to be a cliffhanger at the end, since it’s no secret there’s a second part coming. I thought it was great btw. Although, I didn’t like having to wait through 10 mins of credits for a 20 second snippet at the end.
I’ve heard of a movie critic that complained about how Fellowship of the Ring ended without much closure. Their partner on air turned to them and asked if they knew it was a trilogy.

My son watched Infinity War last night and was utterly devastated, but then he is quite emotionally invested. He woke up this morning full of theories and calling our cat a rabbit, so he’s over it.
I actually watched a bit of The Two Towers last night, and mused with a friend that it’s our favourite of the three movies, despite the high-handed shenanigans with Faramir’s character. And Aragorn, fighting for all he holds dear, bold, brave and kind, must surely be the epitome of what a hero really should be.

It’s kinda predictable on what’s gonna happen next. I mean, Black Panther, and Spider-Man have upcoming movies so obviously they’re gonna be brought back sooner or later 😛

I’m scandalized by all of the women CAFers objectifying male actors on this thread!!!

[Gasps].

Notice that the gentlemen have kept their comments to themselves? 😉
