Yes, this Catholic Charismatic stuff really reminds me of Pentecostalism.
Yet it’s fully Catholic. As someone who has lived in both camps, there is a very distinct and noticeable difference, but for others where they don’t quite know what to think, I can see how it’s easy to maybe say “they all look alike”. I also don’t believe it’s for everyone; that’s fine. It’s very meaningful for those who are called to it. That’s the beauty of our faith - we don’t need to be, have to be, and certainly aren’t a “one size fits all” Church.this Catholic Charismatic stuff really reminds me of Pentecostalism.
We are assigned a parish based on where we live, but, we are free to attend any parish. Seek out activities and events at smaller parishes if that will be a good fit. You do not have to stop going to Adoration if you decide to be in a study group at another parish.Im almost wondering if i need to go to a smaller church? But my church has 24 hr adoration which rocks! Thats my favorite thing to do
Yes, I can carry a tune, but sometimes I have trouble unloading it, especially vocally. Give me my euphonium! Can you hold a tune?
That’s the sort of thing that would have me shaking my head at him and remaining where I was, if not outright walking out of the place. No one has the right to make a spectacle of you, me, or anyone else.eader of this prayer group singled me out. He said he normally doesnt do this but felt led to call me upfront.
This is Catholic, though; that’s what was being discussed in the OP. It’s different.Yeah I don’t go for that whole protestant ‘praying over you’ stuff
If you have been cursed or something it’s not your fault. Feeling humiliated may also be your pride breaking down which is good. The devil gets us with pride. It looks like your soul moved with all the prayers and you did react. I don’t see where the leader said anything about you being bad just that you are under attack and they came to pray for you to help you.So now I feel like im the girl that has evil over her or something.
