That happened some time in the early 80’s. Can’t remember for sure…there are several…but it was one of those non-academic sects…Seattle Pacific U has a relatively good theology department.
Okie. So long as it’s not Northwest University, because that’s the one I’m planning on going to.

I am trying to remember…I thought they said it was in the North end…may be even Snohomish County.

If part of their construct is willful anti-Catholic, I would not go there…Go to a college/university that has strong historical academics…Seattle Pacific is quite fair and objective. Don’t know about any others that are not Catholic.

If people are claiming to be Christian, but seeing everything in a slant against Catholic, you are not getting a good Biblical education.

Right, Seattle Pacific University is a well known and respected school, not just as a Christian school but in secular circles too.

Northwest University is mainstream Assemblies of God, which differs in doctrine from Catholicism, but so far as I am aware does not attack it. At least, in the 4 years I’ve been attending my AG church, I’ve not heard a word against Catholicism from the pulpit, though I have from a few ex-Catholic members. I also remember our senior pastor mentioning that he had visited Catholic churches on occasion, and he spoke respectfully and reverently of them.

Another of the same Bible college up in Seattle was teaching their students how the rosary is probably used like the Buddhist monks used theirs…to do impure acts with…

I slammed the door on their face.

Only in America do you see ‘Christianity’ like this.
The fascination fundamentalism has with sex never ceases to amaze me.
Incredible.

The example given is something one would learn in the boys locker room, not the class room. All religions have naught boys :yup:

Northwest University is in Kirkland area. Surprised I’ve not noticed it before.

Izdaari,

If you see that respect, that is a good sign and a sign of good education. Say some prayers for you today in your endeavors!

Always set an appointment time for the return visit. Go to your Priest and ask if he or another Priest, a teaching Brother or even your Bishop might meet with you at this time to evangelize the evangellizer. Don’t butt heads with them by yourself. Anger will only come out of it, and the devil will dance with joy.
We used to have a sign on our front door given to us by our daughter stating something like “this is a Catholic household and we do not accept propaganda from other religions.”. Problem solved. No more knocks on the door. I hope you or someone is still reading this thred.

Yea I suppose you’re right! It seems someone else might have sent them running as they still haven’t come back. As was suggested earlier though, I definately will try to get a hold of some apologetic booklets to give to them in exchange should they come back again.
