Sunday morning about 2am storm winds blew over Dottie Rambo’s bus outside of Springfield, MO which left her dead and many including her driver, web master and manager badly injured. I just wanted to extend my prayers for her and the others on the bus with her. Also I’d like to extend my sympathy to her family and many friends and fans.

She was a gospel music legend, a Southern treasure and was influential in the lives of many Gospel, Country and Rockabilly artists. She had a catalogue of over 2,500 songs and wrote many of the “standard” hymns common in evangelical hymnals throughout the USA.

She was a gentle, and kind spirited lady who spent most of her life writing music to praise Our Lord and God.

Rest in peace, Dottie.
 
May God forever embrace her soul, and all those lost in this accident.
 
I have enjoyed Dottie on the Gaither Homecoming tapes many many times. I am sorry for this tragedy. We Catholics need to pray for the souls of deceased Protestants because they don’t believe in Purgatory. May God Bless Dottie, forgive her all her sins and bring her to eternal life with him in heaven. Amen
