Hello Catholics,

Can anyone please explain to me why the numbering is different in the Latin Vulgate as compared to a modern day bible such as the RSV? It’s particularly noticeable with the Psalms but that is all that I am really aware of for now. Thanks!

The RSV uses the numbering that is used in the Hebrew Bible. The Vulgate uses the Greek (according to the note in the RSV-2CE).
