Double Baptism?

My mother told me that before we were Catholics that I was baptised in a Protestant church, I think it was a Congregational church.

I remember becoming Catholic and I was baptised in that church, I have two candles, one from each time (although my dog chewed one up).

Was I baptised twice? I know you cannot spiritually be baptised more than once so what happened?

Was the baptism at the first church more of a Blessing or did the Catholic priest want to make sure?

Thanks.

Perhaps the Catholic priest performed what is known as a ‘conditional baptism’: the language used in that case is “if you are not baptized, then I baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. It is only used in cases in which there is uncertainty whether the person is already baptized; and even in these situations, it’s rarely utilized.
