I came accross a post from someone (I don’t want to be rude and point who this person is but you can see for youself as the post is in the social justice section):

"Hello all I can see right off the bat that certain people may attack this post, so I ask only Catholics to respond, and not Protestant or Atheists

Sorry for the confusion, it’s difficult to write what I’m thinking right now. But I hope it’s clear enough for responses, from Catholics only, please."

Why is if a Catholic wants to put another post that they have a pro-life bumper sticker and are afraid they will be fired, the advice is speak up for your ammendant rights - you have a RIGHT to say what you want, but then I am sensored here and can’t give my opinion because I’m not Catholic. I mean, talk about trying to take away MY freedom of speech. I think the poster may have liked what I had to say, but I guess we won’t know and it just saddens me. I do not disagree with Catholic teachings - why do they assume they wouldn’t like what I have to say? And even if they don’t, why shouldn’t I have my right to say what i want anyway? I would never start out a post, “hey, only Lutheran’s respond, okay?”

I will though abide by their wishes and not post on that topic, but I will put this post up about another topic - censorship (and should it be allowed on these forums?)

Where’s my justice?!?! 🤷

You are not being censored and there is no double standard. The poster requested a response from Catholics only. If you wish to post a question and only want responses from Protestants, atheists, or whoever, you are free to request that.

Please remember that freedom of speech is not absolute. This is a privately owned board and all posts must be within our rules and guidelines. Moreover, posts of this type are prohibited. Your question should have been sent to me by email or private message.

Question asked and answered. Thread closed.
