I have found some songs that I can hear good samples in for the hip hop beats I create, I want to download these songs from youtube so that I can mix them and see if the samples are good, instead of paying 99 cents for a song that I won’t every use it turns out not to be mixable. Is this wrong to download these songs because I would certainly buy them if they turned out to be good for my purposes and the original authors could make sweet royalties if I become the next Biggie Smalls. Anyway it just seems like a strange conundrum because sometimes you are better off if people steal your music. For example Chris Brown’s Forever was used illegally in a video and then it became really popular for a second time and they made a lot of money from repeat chart performance. Anyway what do you think, better to download illegally or miss the opportunity?

Personally, I do not think it is right to go about things illegally. No matter how many times we might use something, if it is not ours, it is not ours. My suggestion, pay the .99
