Goodness. As a protestant…ahem…I must talk the honest truth. Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life. No one comes to God except by Him.
Not because they are “Catholic” or “protestant.”
We believe:
Jesus died for our sins. He is sacrifice we could never be.
As a non Catholic…I believe that Christ and the Holy Spirit are our intercessors. I don’t and won’t pray to others to interceed. Mary was human. Ergo fallible. The Apostles were followers of Jesus. But again human. They are only perfected now that they are in Heaven…they are not deity though. Only the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit the God head 3 in 1 is whom we worship and pray to.
Comunion (forgive my spelling) is the direct order from Jesus. “Do this in rememberence of Me.” To the apostles and to us. We are to be imatators of Christ.
To be imatators of Christ we also are Baptised full imersion as Adults LIKE Christ. As adults we are able to make the knowledgeable decision to follow Christ Earnestly.
Jesus I’d the only one I can confess my sins and be forgiven.
It is by no works (saying hail marys or going to a priest)
the True Church was never a sect or denomination. It was believing as the apostles did and repeating their good works that we define ourselves as CHRISTians.
Jesus came without rituals except to acknowelge a few, such as the Passover.
He sat with sinners. He said Himself that he didn’t come for the saved, but for those whom were fallen.
He didn’t collect indulgences. He walked arounf plainly clothed in humility.
Jesus doesn’t want division. He calls for us to Love God, and love one another.
Instead of calling protestants fallen or whatever because we do not believe in the Catholic delivery of the Gospel, read the Bible. That’s what we believe in. Word for word. We do not add our own twist. Follow the example of the humble, meek, and gentle Jesus eho calls us friends.
