He is on our Christian radio station, which is talk only at night, no music, when I get out of CCD and drive home, so I sometimes listen for a while. He seems evangelical in orientation and I have never heard any overtly anti-Catholic statements. He generally does bible studies that cover several sessions. Some are re-runs. I have heard his study on Joseph in the book of Genesis a couple of times and it really is excellent. He had a study of Paul–his conversion, life and mission which was also good, and I remember it because it avoided the tendency to compare Paul’s words with those of Jesus and to prefer Paul when there seems to be contradiction (which I see often in Protestant inspired writing).
His bible studies seem scholarly and orthodox. Of course at times he will make interpretations that downplay or misinterpret Catholic doctrine, but not often. I know nothing of his credentials am judging entirely on what I have heard him say in his programs.
would I say he is okay to listen to, sure for anyone well grounded enough to know if and when he says something contrary to Catholic interpretation. Would I say do one of his bible studies rather than attend or listen to a Catholic study? No.
