[SIGN][/SIGN]Did anyone see his show tonight? He was asked by an audience member if he was spiritual and he said he’s a scientist, but went on to talk briefly about amazing things that he’s seen happen, but…he’s still a scientist.
So, does he believe in God or not? Is he agnostic?
Why so many scientists claim to be atheist or agnostic? This bothers me.

A frequent panel member on his show, I think her name is Judy Ho, is a psychologist and always wears a gold cross, which is nice to see.
 
Dr. Drew has another show on? I thought he was a doctor. Why do scientists think they can’t be spiritual or believe in God simply because they are scientists?

I never cared for Dr. Drew when he was on HLN or when he had the show with the celebrities who were in a treatment program.
He seems kind of egotistical and I think he exploits people who have gone through difficulty. So maybe he is not spiritual in that sense.

I know some atheists who have witnessed utterly impossible things yet refuse to allow it to shake their “faith.” For some I think it really is a matter of faith. Atheism is their religion and when they see something that rocks the foundation of their faith, they can’t accept it. For others I think they refuse to profess anything different for fear of how it will affect them professionally and/or socially. One of the best examples I can think of I think was on a program about miracles or the beatification of some saint. He was treating a patient who was clearly terminal. They’d done all they could so they brought the family in. The patient died, the doctor offered his condolences, the family started grieving. A few minutes passed and either the wife or daughter, who couldn’t accept that their loved one was gone, started praying. They prayed for several minutes and as they finished up their last prayer, the patient started breathing again. They eventually made a full recovery. The doctor said that not only was the guy past hope of recovery from his injuries or illness, but he had clearly died and was dead for something like 7-10 minutes. He said there was no medical or scientific explanation for his recovery. He wouldn’t call it a miracle and said it didn’t make him believe in God or a higher power, but said it did make him wonder.
