Assisted suicide advocate Dr. Jack Kevorkian – a convicted felon known as “Dr. Death” – is scheduled to speak at the University of Florida on January 15.

Sign your protest today…

According to news reports:

*** Dr. Kevorkian has killed 130 people
  • Dr. Kevorkian was convicted of first-degree murder and is currently on parole
  • Dr. Kevorkian will be given $50,000 to speak at the University of Florida**
Students of Pro-Life Alliance at the University of Florida are protesting. TFP Student Action applauds their effort and encourages its members to also call for the cancellation of Dr. Kevorkian’s speech by signing a petition of protest to the president of the University of Florida, Dr. J. Bernard Machen.

Sign your protest to the University of Florida now

With the forced starvation of Terri Schiavo still fresh in our nation’s memory, it is repugnant that a euthanasia advocate and convicted felon is invited to address students at the University of Florida.

Everyone is invited to urgently protest in a peaceful and lawful manner. And after you sign your instant e-protest to the president of the University of Florida, send this action alert to your friends and family. There is strength in numbers.

Call the president’s office:
Dr. J. Bernard Machen
President of the University of Florida

I called the president’s office yesterday and talked to the lady receiving these protest calls… she didn’t know what to say when I asked her if she thought it would be OK to invite Hitler or some famous terrorist to speak at the university. Indeed, freedom of speak has limits, but political correctness and relativism have gone so far that I am afraid any moral, ethical boundaries that once existed in higher education are just about destroyed. Who knows, if enough people call in there might be a change. Please consider calling. God bless!

Thank you for this post.
As a UF graduate I am very disappointed in their decision to have him come talk… I pray they cancel his appearance.

I have once heard that Gainesville was considered the San Francisco of the East and not for the pleasant scenery, but for the politics.

Excellent football, but the university, from what I hear, is to the left of most colleges and universities.

$50,000 for a murderer to speak!?! can’t they use the money on something else?

Geez

Geez, we may as well just bring back Dr. Mengele from the dead and have him speak too.

For THE LOVE OF GOD 👍 FOR LOVE:grouphug: LETS DO IT PUT UP BILLBOARDS FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!❤️
IF CHURCHES like CEDAR CREEK can get their message across because of the controversial billboard ads they put up billboard ads THAT THEY PUT UP very quickly increased the numbers of people who attended their church. Then other churches can use that medium to get their life saving message across. Churches WHO LOVE Jesus PUT UP BILLBOARDS BUT specifically FOR this cause …“SUICIDE PREVENTION”… IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST! LET US SAVE LIVES! Anyone WHO has the call to do it to PUT UP BILLBOARDS FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION and do it IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST the Holy Spirit be with you!
God Bless You!

I don’t think silencing speech is the answer. I think all views should be permitted on campuses because it promotes debate. This is an opportunity to speak out on this issue. When we try to prevent speech we disagree with it only threatens our own freedom. Pro-life speakers have tried to be silenced the same way.

Old news - um, this thread is over 7 months old people.

If you want to talk about freedom of speech, start a new thread.
