I just find so amazing how people cook up stuff to avoid the Truth. Did not Jesus say, “Only the Truth will set you free”?

Two-spirited is the way that Indians (the North American kind) view homosexuality; the two-spirited person in question has a man and a woman’s spirit inside their bodies. Here’s a Wiki link : [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two...ki/ Two_spirited](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two...ki/ Two_spirited) Talk about bogus stuff.

Please pray that the college president isn’t hoodwinked.

Representatives from Gay & Straight People for the Education of Diversity and Gay and Lesbian Alliance, as well as from Santa Clara Community Action Program, say they have worked hard to ensure that this year’s show incorporates more elements of education about the** lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/transsexual/two-spirited and queer/questioning communities.**
I can’t even find the words to respond. Sometimes I think I am living in an alternate realtiy!

That is just sick 😦 but that is where our world is heading  thanks for sharing :blessyou:

I dunno… it sounds like mild stuff for Santa Clara. San Francisco gets all the attention, but Santa Clara is more exotic.

I guess this is in the Catholic News forum because it is taking place at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit school. I don’t know what to say to that except that the school seems immersed in the local culture.

I don’t see anything unusual in the story, except that it is taking place at a Jesuit university. I guess that is why this was posted in Catholic News.

Should a Jesuit school stand in opposition to the prevailing culture or should it accommodate the culture and attempt to influence it?

The Indians might indeed have a different view on homosexuality. Until they are converted to the Catholic faith who are we to deny them their own views? Although this should not be presented as an alternative Catholic view.

Indeed, Church teaching must be made known. But should the university ban such a gathering or use the occasion to do some diplomatic reaching out?

Let’s see:

Option one - Santa Clara U. diplomatically reaches out.

Option two - Pigs fly.

This is all done in the name of “openness” and “diversity”. Perhaps had certain instructions from Rome concerning those not ideally suited as candidates for the priesthood been followed then outrages such as these would not be so common.

Agreed. But even Pope Benedict might be considered a little liberal in that he would allow the option of those with same sex attraction into the priesthood if they do not advocate for gay rights.
