Dream about Jesus

It was an interesting dream. All I remember from it was that I saw Jesus and ran towards him. Next thing I know I was near him, but I was sitting in a big group of children all around him. My heart was beating hard and I was really excited/nervous. Then afterwards he went off to do something or rest. I really wanted to talk to him so I followed. But I was scared to talk to him, scared that I would cry or get yelled at. I feel like in the dream at the time he had a cold expression when I was following him, but somehow I knew that if I did manage to talk to him that he would be very nice to me. But I kept debating whether or not to talk to him and I never did.

I know most often its pointless to speculate what a dream can mean, but I’d still like to hear some thoughts on it. Recently I’ve been praying to get closer to Him, and trying to pray to him more regularly.
 
I will relate a similar dream I had when my children were littles. I was too overcome with awe by the light, warmth and presence of God to say anything. I thought did enter my mind at which point the dream ended, it was as if the lights went out. The thought was about my children. I was worried in my dream about where my children were. I have always vividly remembered that and pray for my children everyday.

I think there is still a way you can talk to him. This time you are awake.

You can go to Adoration. He should be present there. The mass is also another place where He is present. I remember when I was unemployed and in a bad place generally. I went to Adoration to be comforted by His presence.

Matthew 18: 3-4:

…“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

I think some of the saints, too, have said that we should approach the Lord with child-like love and faith. 🙂
