I had a very strange dream the night before last. I’ve been reading the Bible and looking into Catholic theology, since I want to do RCIA this fall. On Wednesday, I was trying to find my heirloom rosary. Before I looked for it, I prayed to St. Anthony for help. That night, when I went to bed, I didn’t pray any more about finding my rosary, since I realized the answer was “no”. Instead, I prayed about my boyfriend, and help in his struggles regarding fatherhood. He comes from a Catholic family, but his parents rarely attend church, so he has little knowledge of the teachings on marriage, sanctity of life, etc. I said in my prayer that I know he’s excited to have kids one day, but I need help to make him realize why things such as abortion are wrong.

I can’t remember much of my dream, except for the end, which I remember vividly. In the start/ middle of my dream, I was brought to somewhere which was in a very different time/ place than what I’m familiar with. I remember spending a huge amount of time in a strange place/ places, but as soon as I woke up, that part was “wiped”, like maybe I was being shown something in order to help me, but I’m not supposed to know about it or understand at this time. At the end of my dream, I was in a desert or very arid place, with a plateu in the background, and grasses/ rocks all over. A woman came up to me, and all I could see was her face. She had dark, almost black, curly hair, and a tan complexion. At first I thought she might be Mary, but she didn’t look like any portrait of Mary I’ve ever seen. I know that Mary comes to people in many forms, but for some reason I got the feeling that this woman was someone else.

I saw a pair of woman’s hands, with a rosary laying across them. It was made of tiny pearly beads, the size of a pin’s head. The hands and rosary looked incredibly surreal. It was like in older Disney movies, when they showed an important object like Belle’s rose or Cinderella’s slipper, and that one object is drawn so much more beautifully and detailed than all the other scenes in the movie. The hands and rosary looked like they were painted, and they were encircled by a halo of white light. The hands were extended, fingertips down and forwards, as if offering the rosary to me. Also, I got a close up, cutaway view of the beads. The silver wire that ran through them went down to the right on the top part of the bead, and up to the left on the bottom of the bead. I then heard an incredibly loud voice say “Hagar”. I don’t know exactly how to describe how loud it was. It was almost like the person voice could somehow not only be heard, but was also speaking directly into my brain without using audible sound. I found this incredibly odd, since I’ve never remembered somebody in a dream telling me their name/ the name of another person in the dream. Also, I don’t believe it was the woman speaking, since it seemed like the person saying “Hagar” was a third party.

Yesterday (Thursday) I went out and bought beads that matched those in the dream, plus other things I needed to make a rosary. I wasn’t able to finish making it last night, so I just downloaded a rosary app to use until I’m done.

Hagar symbolizes an earthly city or sin.

Maybe your dream symbolizes you repenting from or overcoming some sin by means of the Rosary.

I like Spyridon’s answer. It sounds like a beautiful dream. When you’re done I’d love to see a picture of the rosary, if that’s ok with you!

The woman Hagar was an answer to Sarah’s (wife of Abraham) barrenness in the bible. Perhaps it’s a suggestion to pray more for your boyfriend regarding his fatherhood and his views toward abortion and such with the rosary.

What does Hagar mean to you? Who is she for you? Same with the rosary. What does it mean to you?

Our Lady visited the shepherd children in Fatima Portugal. Fatima is the name of one of Muhammad’s daughter’s. In both Judaic and Muslim tradition, as well we know from Scripture, the Old Testament, Hagar was the mother of Ishmael. For whom Muslims lean against for their religious tradition bearing upon God’s relationship with man. Though be it, Islam was founded thousands of years after Judaism. Let alone after Christianity.

I believe the Rosary is a call for conversion of hearts and souls in the Muslim world. For if Mary is the New Eve, for whom God said would crush the serpent’s head. Then why would not Fatima be at Mary’s feet? Wherefore the head of the serpent sets upon the whole Muslim religion? Stepping on the head of the serpent is to free people from the bondage of sin. She stepped on the head of the serpent serving out upon the Mayan, Incan, and Aztec worlds by stopping the brutality of sacrifices. Why not the Muslim world?

The Rosary from Hagar, I think in your dream, is at least to pray for conversion of souls throughout the world, particularly the Muslim people who seem to believe a covenant stems from Ishmael’s line since Abraham. Which in a sense it does. Because it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Not Muhammad. Muhammad is not God’s only begotten Son. He did not raise from the dead. Jesus did. Muhammad did murder and espoused murder. Christ did not. Islam fails the Ten Commandments: Thou Shall Not Kill. They fall from God’s Covenant.

One thing Islam will have to answer for is that God is mightier than they are. For a world which believes God is Mighty. Yet the world of Islam denies two Principle domains of God’s Power. First it denies Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son. Islam denies God has the might to lend the Word enter into being a human child, but remaining Divine. The world of Islam cannot accept the humility of God. So Islam denies God’s ability to lend the nature of His Own Word, His Own Heart, His Own Soul - His Only Begotten Son. Islam does not believe God is powerful enough. And hence why, Secondly. They feel they are to go to war and murder. They believe the might is in their hands. They so-called pray to God, but then take matters in their own hands. They don’t believe God does the punishing, but Islam does. It isn’t God, but the devil. For the devil calls God a liar. And the devil denies God has the power and might for a child to be born, and that of Himself, His Only Begotten Word.
