Dreams and their meaning

I have a morning dream yesterday…and the last few memories stuck in my head was a name: Kobayashi Shinkei. I dont know of any Kobayashi Shinkei in real life or dont understand the meaning of it.

I later found out in my research that Kobayashi means “small forest” and
Shinkei “God’s grace.”

I am quite literate about dream interpretation but I’m left in awe how God could even use foreign terms to tell me something. 🙂 word messages are quite new.I dont know what to put out of it.It’s just that im amazed. The term somehow reminded me of my dream to be a monk and my love for retreats!😃

How about you, how have dreams helped you so far?
 
I’ve begun praying at night that Our Lady would help me to understand things better.

About a week ago I had a dream which I’m still working out. I dreamt I went down to the Church for Confession and when I went into the confessional it wasn’t my normal confessor. I do my confessions face-to-face so in my dream I’m sitting across from this priest and as I’m confessing all of a sudden he leans into me and in a very loud voice says, “Say a prayer for every bead!”. It was pretty obvious he was talking about the Rosary. So I was left wondering, am I supposed to make a petition for every bead in addition to meditating on the mystery and reciting the Our Father and the Ave? I actually do this sometimes (such as when praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, I’ll say the name of a person I know who has passed on an Ave bead prior to saying the Hail Mary) but not all the time. And, of course, it could just have been a dream. But it did feel like a message.
 
If in doubt say a prayer for every prayer. Can’t hurt and will only do good. I think most dreams are what is on our minds or a subconscious answer to questions or problems. However, God can speak and direct us through dreams. Listen to your dream as it seems to be a good one and pray for me on one of those beads. I sure can use a few prayers and I will pray for you.:gopray2:
 
In November 2010 I had a dream on the night I returned to the Church after a long absence. I dreamed I was attacked, crushed and paralyzed by a demon in the form of a black shadow. It nearly killed me until I cried out “Help me, Jesus!!!” The demon fled, and I woke up in a sweat with my heart pounding. I laid there on my side for a few seconds, then rolled over onto my back and came face-to-face with a white, luminous ball of light about 6" in diameter that was floating in the air about eight feet beyond the foot of my bed. I watched it in amazement, totally calm, for about four minutes, then it slowly faded away. I was asleep within 20 seconds.

That was a life-changing experience I’ll never forget, and it brought the reality of God and the spirit world into my life in a way I never thought possible. I was traumatized for months afterward! 100% true story, I would NOT kid about something like this!

That is pretty impressive. Maybe the ball was an angel?
 
The ability to give men dreams and visions of the night can be imparted by god the father, the son, the Holy Spirit, or an angel.

Some of those angels with this ability fell with Lucifer.

To differentiate which dream is from God pray and ask god to protect your sleep. Keep a dream diary. If it is from god and important he will confirm it.

God is light and from light we get all colors. The devil is the absence of light so dreams from the enemy are in dark or grey scale.

Also god uses parables in dreams. Use the bible as you reference point. He also uses word play and wants you to search out the meaning. There are many types of dreams.

Sometimes if you have a grey scale dream god is letting you see the plans of the enemy upon you, someone you know, or your nation and you are to pray against it.

If you see your father in a dream that may actually be god the father showing you something.

If you see someone behind you or

I didn’t want it but I ended up with the uzzi which is an inferior firearm. However with a little research I found out that uzzi is Hebrew for god is my strength.

I am a novice dream interpreter but if I can’t get a good interpretation I will let you know.

My advice is to pray for the interpretation and use the bible tools that are free online.

Also read don boscos book on his dreams and review john Paul Jackson’s free materials.

That all said, dreams are sign posts not a map.

My dreams are becoming increasingly bizarre. The worst are those occurring right before I wake up. I usually have stomach trouble just about that time so my system is rather toxic. I can’t stand though dreaming about one person who influenced me in a destructive manner decades ago. I feel like Paul who wrote that he does things he doesn’t want to do. Consciously, I deplore and even denounce this person, who passed away 46 years ago, who stole so much of my emotional life at a time when I was most vulnerable. It’s like he is still living in a part of my head that I am unaware of except while I am sleeping.
I have dreamed about my father who passed away 10 years ago. I do think he was saved, not so sure about my sister who followed him a year and a half afterwards, although she may be in some kind of state of suspension. I don’t think he was a stand-in for God the Father, but himself.

Frankly, I believe almost all dreams are just dreams and nothing more. I think people waste their time thinking their dreams should somehow be interpreted into something meaningful.

As hard as it may be, it sounds to me like after 46 years it’s time to forgive this person you are dreaming about. Not for them, but for you. Pray for them. Pray for the grace to forgive them. By forgiving them, they will stop showing up in your dreams.

As to your family- perhaps it’s safest to assume everyone was saved and simply pray for their souls. Which you probably already do, but perhaps they show up your dreams as a reminder.

You think that is the problem? I wasn’t even aware of what he did to me. It took years to disentangle. One astute priest called it abuse 10 years ago when I didn’t even depict it as such. I would be happy if I NEVER was reminded of him, and even sorry to say, enough to pray for him. I am not sure it would even help. I pray for my sister but my father comes on much stronger. She had a sudden death (that all of us should dread unless we are certain of being in grace). My father as far as I know had last rites. Thanks for your answer and prayers.
