Alright, so I’m sure most of us would agree that whenever we attend Mass on Sunday, we should make an effort to look nice. After all, we would do the same if we were going to {let’s say} a 5-star restaurant.
But what about for daily Mass? Should those same standards apply? {e.g., If you wear a suit to Sunday Mass, should you be expected to wear a suit to daily Mass?}
Personally, I’m not sure where I stand on the issue. Being at a college campus {where you have to walk everywhere}, I see many students {including myself} attending daily Mass in shorts. {I’m not trying to say that we all look sloppy or unpresentable, though.
} I would bet that a lot of their responses as to why would be because it’s incredibly hot and humid. On Sundays, they have a chance to go home and change. However, on weekdays, they have to walk across campus multiple times for class, etc.
I’ve had a friend pose the question that if we should dress up for Sunday Mass, why shouldn’t we dress up for daily Mass?
Any thoughts?
{I say this all the time, but I’m not sure if I’m making any sense. Sorry!
