Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

Remember, one day at a time…one second at a time if need be… O.k. let’s see if I can help…for every drink you take your liver is destroyed a little more… by inflamation, scarring, and cirrhosis…Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease kills. I have cirrhosis from NON alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease… I never drank a day in my life, but for some reason my liver will eventually fail me. and I’ll [hopefully] live long enough to receive a new liver. That’s worth staying sober for, right?]
Your liver performs over 500 different tasks to keep you alive…don’t throw that away for a sip of brandy, flask of whiskey, or bottle of beer. EVER.

armyross, I know where you are and it is hard. If you’re in the army please go to your MO and ask for help. It is nothing to be ashamed of. So many of us are hurt and suffering and alcohol is a potent and legal way to help us deal with it. However, alcohol is the worst drug ever. it is very alluring but it kills in the end. Please get professional help. Don’t listen to your peers and know that we (I) am here to help if you need it.
You can talk to us armyross…we’re understanding of your problems.

Almighty God I humbly pray
Lead them and guide them through this day
Cast out their selfishness and sin
Open their heart to let You in
Help them now as they blindly stray
Over the pitfalls along the way
Let them have courage to face each task
Invest them in patience and love, I ask
Care for them each hour today
Strengthen and guard them now, I pray

As they forgive, forgive them too
Needing your mercy as they do
Oh give them your loving care
Never abandon them in despair
Yesterday’s wrongs they will seek to right
Make them more perfect in your sight
Oh teach them to live as best as they can
Use me to help my fellow man
Save them from acts of bitter shame

I humbly ask in Your name
Amen

Lord Jesus,You said,
“I have come to set the captives free.”
We are captive and need Your healing touch.
Free us, Lord, from our addictions,
so that we will be:
…free from the cares and worries that stifle our happiness;
…free from sins that cling to us, and to which we cling;
…free from all compulsive behavior
that prevents us from becoming what You, Lord,
have planned for us.
Bring us, loving Savior,
to the experience of abundantlife
which You promised.
