Utes, remember, one day at a time.

Ask our Blessed Mother to give you the gift of sobriety and to take away from you your compulsion to drink and your obsession with drinking. She WILL do it. And don’t forget to thank Her at the end of another alcohol-free day.

Pray to Venerable Matt Talbot as well.
 
I struggle with the sauce too. 2 weeks ago I went to a Charimatic Healing mass and I have no desire for booze ever since. Well, except for one night for about an hour but I didn’t give in. Or, I should say, Jesus helped me stay dry.
Find a Charismatic Healing Mass in your area. Then go.

I will most certainly pray for you too.

You’re going to make it. I can feel it. Hasn’t it been nice waking up wothout a hangover these last couple days?

Its been great waking up without hanovers
 
Yes, it really has been. Even on those days when the night before wasn’t an all out banger, the small hangovers were enough to take the edge off the morning. I felt like I was just functioning rather than seizing the day. Now for the last two weeks I kind of feel invigorated in the morning and I get so much more done. I even started exercizing again. What a nice change. I keep reminding myself of that when the ever-so-familiar craving starts crawling in my head.

Thank you Lord Jesus. It’s so great to know you love and care about your alcoholics and want to help.

So, how’s it going so far? If I’m not mistaken, this is day 4 or 5 for you?
 
I have to start over again I fell back but thats ok I am not giving up. Its been a couple of days now. But I got some more help from some great people. I am mad at myself but I will make it this time.

Blessed Matthew Talbot please pray that like your saintly self, who remained sober after 15 years of hard drinking, Go Utes will continue to try, and to overcome with God’s grace. and like you, fulfil God’s will for his life

Are you in AA meetings? If not try to make a meeting. They can help you. I will pray for you.

PRAYER OF TRUST TO SAINT JOSEPH
IN MOMENTS OF ANGUISH AND HARDSHIP.
Blessed Saint Joseph,
your intercession can make possible impossible things
come to help me in these moments of anguish and hardship.
Take under your protection
the difficult and grave situations I commend to you,
so they have a happy solution according to God’s will.

My beloved father:
I trust you entirely
and abandon myself as a small child
sleeping in his dad’s arms.

That could not be said I appealed to you in vain.
And as you, through the Lord,
can everything accomplish in front of Jesus and Mary,
show me your kindness is as great as your power.
