The resolution points out the fact that while the company hires smokers, it doesn’t “pay them to engage in this behavior which is hazardous to themselves and others.” But while Ford doesn’t reward smokers for their self-destructive choice, it rewards employees who participate in homosexual behavior proven to be dangerous, life-shortening, medically expensive and socially irresponsible.

I notice the source cannot back up this out of date attitude with up to date statisitcs.

And as for comparing smokers and homosexuals well, I struggle to find a good saying to rationalise this.
