Dropping a particle of the Host

I have a question…This morning, when I was receiving the Eucharist, I accidently dropped a small particle of the Host. This was the first time this had ever happened to me, and I didn’t know what to do. The priest was already giving communion to the next person in the line. So I picked up the particle (which had stayed intact), consumed it, and returned to the pew. Did I do the right thing, or was I supposed to do anything else? Do I have to do anything now? Thanks. .
