Drugs and the devil

The more I see and read about drugs, drug addicts and drug trafficking - the more I am convinced that there is a demonic component to it. Specifically in Mexico and Central/ South America where communities are over-run by the most violent and heinous drug crimes. Death is everywhere…very gruesome murders. I remember Father Corapi mentioning that he saw black masses performed over drug shipments that the most number of people would become addicted and other bad things. It makes me wonder if the drugs circulating have been incanted over with Satanic words before they are shipped out and scattered around the globe. I have never taken drugs or been around anyone on drugs…but I have seen addicts on tv and they do seem so oppressed by evil. I really think Satan has a hand in this drug epidemic and I specifically think he is trying to turn countries like Mexico away from their love of God and strong Catholic influence towards drugs and paganism. The self-centerdness that comes with drug addiciton and loss of perspective on God is the perfect tool for the devil to keep a grip on people.
What does everyone else think?

I have been closely associated with people who were addicts and you’re definitely right - it is oppression sent by that fellow, however Love can beat him.
 
It’s certainly possible that people do black masses over this stuff. It’s really horrible the sort of things that happen because of drugs!!
 
I agree. I’ve been around people on drugs and marijuana. They are oppressed and don’t know it, don’t have a clue. Wouldn’t believe it if you told them. People don’t believe in “him/it” anymore. Sad. Great need for prayer there.

Yeah, he really did “see it all”…if you recall he was deep into the drug scene in Hollywood before his conversion back to the faith. If you listen to his conversion story he even mentions seeing a 14 year old girl dead in a dumpster. I think that is why he is such a powerful speaker, he has truly been on the other side of the fight.

I agree about addicts being so blinded that they are oppressed. Satan has them so focused on the drug that God is not anywhere in their peripheral.
 
Another note on Father Corapi…he also mentioned that he knew of famous musicians who would pray to Satan while recording albums in exchange for success on the album. He was also around millionaire drug dealers who were devoted to Satan.
 
i reckon your right, you could pray a hedge prayer for these people to get off the drugs
 
I just wanted to add that I believe some prescription drugs can also be used by the devil, like the ones the Columbine kids were on. Read scary stories at ssristories.com. ssristories.com/ SSRI’s are antidepressant drugs. These drugs are all perfectly ok with medical professionals, so I think sometimes they are worse than illegal drugs because nobody thinks there’s any problem with them.
 
Yes I agree about prescription drugs. Especially things like oxy or ridilin (sp?) The were well-meaning when they came out and seem to be appealing the younger generation…perhaps kids that never would have sought drugs otherwise but have descended into such a darkness. It is like the devil knew exactly where to target.
