The sci-fi Dune series was decent. I especially appreciated “Children of Dune” as I was always a fan of “messiah” and “children.” They really stayed pretty true to the stories though jakarutu got a little out there! LOL

But nobody can play Baron Harkonnen like Kenny McMillain. He was the MAN with that acne problem, bubbles on his face, heart plug, flying antics, and insanity. “what a luxury!” LOL

Dude…that Harkonnen gave me the creeps back in the day. It was all too believable. Yikes. 😃
 
I’ll never forget it. I had ordered “The Dune Storybook” from Scholastic book orders, fifth grade, ten years old, right? Well, I got the chicken pocks and had to stay home for a week. While I’m down with c.p., my mom goes to my elementary school (where I now work and teach!) and picks up my books for me and brings them home. I went in my room, opened up to the page where the Baron Harkonnen has those awful pock marks, pimples, and I looked in the mirror and cried! LOL LOL

Plus I remember one of my favorite lines from the movie involved him. I forget how it goes exactly, but it was between him and the mentat played by Brian Dourf.

“MY plan!!”
“…the plan in question…”

“Take my Hand” is the best Toto song on the Dune soundtrack. David Paich is the man! Love that soundtrack. The opening when Princess Iruland is narrating sounds great, too!

“Can’t Stop Loving You,” “Rosanna,” “Pamela,” “I’ll Be Over You,” “Home of the Brave,” “Caught in the Balance,” “99” you name it man, Toto is the greatest ever! Along with my other favorite band—“Yes.”

I met Bobby Kimball, the lead singer from Toto, got to shake hands with him. My wife shook hands with THE Steve Lukather, the genius guitarist for Toto. We saw them last in 2007. Jaw-dropping…
