Hey @po18guy anything coming from you deserves my upmost attention !!

And I am glad to see there are Catholics left in the Netherlands, especially in that age group.

The article did seem balanced, and well written, and I liked it - and, fortunately, we get such quality on CAF, sometimes even taking it further, every day.

God bless.

Oh, stop it! Now my hat doesn’t fit!

I don’t think Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
criticized Pope Francis in his essay.
I appreciate Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
writing the essay.

I don’t think he criticized Pope Francis either. Benedict did not try to cover every aspect of the problem. But he chose to focus specifically on certain aspects, that have been ignored.

When Fr Curran, the CTSA etc, were spreading a culture of relativism, and trashing the Natural Law, they never explicitly said child abuse or sexual harrassment were acceptable.

But they and their followers helped prepare the way for seminarians, and laity, to follow the secular culture, with no support for conversion.

Pope Francis didn’t cause that problem. He would do well to take Benedict’s insights into account now, in terms of who he appoints.
