Dying Faith

It’s finally happened. I’m on the edge of losing my Faith. No matter what I do, it’s a Sin in some way, shape or form. I entered the Church singing “happy to lucky me”, and now I’m about to leave it while singing “the sins of life: that’s a sin and that’s a sin and everything’s a freakin sin, that’s the sins of life, the sins of life.
No matter what you do, you find out that your gonna be screwed and suddenly your finding out the sins of life, are all because youuuu…”

I can’t do this anymore. I’m done.

And yet you are here. 🙂

Don’t give up on the Church. It’s one of those “look back” things: you’ll realize how much of a positive influence She was only by looking back in a few months/years.

Satan would love you to quit. He would love you to miss out on the True Love that is Jesus Christ.

Hang on.

What are you talking about? Sins of life? What are all these sins?

Praying for you scrupulousrvrt :o

God will still be there when you come back.

*…while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
…this son of mine was dead and is alive again! He was lost and is found!’

So they began to celebrate.*

Read about saints who had the same problem and who you feel connected to.
Really helped me out. 🙂

And i will pray for you.

First and foremost I am very sorry for the heavy cross you are carrying, I know because I have scrupulosity too. :console:

I’m surprised no one has asked this.

Are you seeing a counselor? A Spiritual Director? Hopefully both.

Are you taking necessary medicines and seeing a doctor for your anxiety?

I understand where you are. I have panic attacks at church frequently and severe OCD of which scrupulosity is only a part of. I’m not saying you have those things but you must learn to be gentle and forgiving of self. You must learn to let go. Entrust your cause to competent professionals and listen to what THEY tell you is sinful for you, not what your mind says. Your mind is sick and so it cannot be trusted! :nope: You need to at the very least be seeing a priest who is familiar with scruples. But a knowledgeable counselor or psychiatrist is often necessary too. This is definitely your scrupulosity talking and not what you truly want.

Trust me I know the hell you face every single minute of every single day. You should never have to endure this alone. Get the appropriate help. Even Jesus had help carrying his cross, how much more so do we weak human beings need help? 😉

Please get help today! You’ve already wasted more than enough of your life suffering through this.

God bless you! Please PM me if you ever need someone to talk to who understands. :hug1:
