I know that if one’s a martyr, they go directly to Heaven. But what if somebody dies indirectly for Christ, are they still a martyr?

For example rather than someone saying "If you’re a Catholic, I’ll shoot you. Are you? And you say yes and he shoots, you’d be a martyr. But what if they say "If you don’t do this sin (however venial), then I’ll shoot you. So say you don’t do it because you don’t want to offend God, and he shoots you. Would you still be considered a martyr?

St. Maria Goretti died because she defended her virginity from someone attempting to rape her. She is a martyr of the faith.

In that situation you died with Fear of the Lord, which need I remind you is a gift of the Holy Spirit. You loved God so much that you were afraid to offend him. So yes, you’d be a marty for Christ, and for the faith.
