E-mailing the pope

Does anyone know if this is a successful way to reach the Pope? I can’t imagine him having time to read and respond to emails. :confused:

Has anyone ever gotten a response from his assistants when emailing him?
 
I imagine screeners would go through and determine what is worth his time and what isn’t. Of what is I imagine most would be answered by a secretary and only a very few if any would actually make it to him. All of this post it should be remembered is merely my speculation.

That e-address was kicked back to me as undeliverable. (I tried it a year ago.)
 
He is too busy to respond, but I once saw something on EWTN about “Pope2You” ( www.pope2you.net ), about sending him Christmas greetings. They said (whoever was on EWTN at the time) that he personally reads them, but don’t expect a response for he is too busy (very busy!). So, yes. Go ahead and email him! Complain about that Jesuit college, and I think I know which one that you are reffering to, too.
 
I don’t think he gets any of them…as one poster, if not more, mentioned - how could he have the time? I DID send him a ‘congratulatory’ upon election - finding that email link was a surprise, so I did it. Don’t recall getting even a form reply back. (I could be wrong.)

As for WRITING the Pope? I once wrote to another Pope in my younger years - pre/during Vatican II changes. I received a Papal Apostolic Blessing (a paper), of which a great fuss was made at home. Then, I believe I received a DUPLICATE Papal blessing. Perhaps, just a form reply. Albeit, they were saved for a long time. But the last time I tried to contact a Pope (more recent and, I believe it was Pope John Paul II) - whatever reply I received appeared to be directed from Washington, DC. Forgive me for saying this or the poor comparison - and please correct me, if wrong - I’m thinking that there’s a special redirection addy (just like letters to Santa Claus end up in post office and not the North Pole) – i.e., mail to the Pope is directed to some Vatican Representative in the U.S.
 
I don’t think it’s a good idea to be e-mailing the Vicar of Christ. He has a lot more important things to deal with, and I am sure he is quite aware of the uncatholicity of most universities in general and the Jesuits in particular. It’s been going on for forty years. Actually, it’s been going on for a lot longer than that.
 
I e-mail the Holy Father periodically. Never had one rejected, but then again, I never had one answered either. Its like one poster said, “he’s pretty busy” .
