Hello

I ‘think’ I am posting on the right board.

Can I ask, please, what the following refers to:
19.4 Exodus how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
Who is being borne and to where, and why eagles’ wings in particular?

Thanks.

Here is a longer quote from that chapter. I think from it you will get a sense of the meaning:

*Moses went up the mountain to God. Then the LORD called to him and said, "Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob;

tell the Israelites: You have seen for yourselves how I treated the Egyptians and how I bore you up on eagle wings and brought you here to myself.

Therefore, if you hearken to my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my special possession, dearer to me than all other people, though all the earth is mine. *

A lot of wonderful and uplifting (no pun intended) thoughts are contained in those verses.

Very many thanks for your great replies. They have helped!

Cheers
