Excellent. I shall place those at various intervals on my “to read” list.thanks!
I was looking for the list of (obviously) apostolic new testament era writings that didn’t make it to the new testament and why.Excellent. I shall place those at various intervals on my “to read” list.
Now what’s your question?
Ah, k. So, you have the list now, so as to why…It is my understanding that canonicity depends on Apostolic authorship, or from a disciple of an Apostle. A friend of mine likes to point out that Pope Clement wrote a letter to the Corinthians, and even tho he was pope, it wasn’t inspired (tho i don’t know about the infallibility status of it). The Early Church Fathers are authoritative, but not inspired.I was looking for the list of (obviously) apostolic new testament era writings that didn’t make it to the new testament and why.
