Justin Martyr said,
For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn; and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.
(First Apology, Chapter 67. AD 150)
Are there any other clear statements like this one from the early Church? (pre- 200 AD preferably)

Thanks in advance, :tiphat:

How about the Bible? Is that “early Church” enough? John 19:42 tells us that Jesus was laid in his tomb because he died on Friday, which was the day of preparation for the Sabbath (Saturday, also known as Saturn’s Day).

John 20:20 tells us that the tomb was visited by Mary Magdalene on the “first day of the week” (Sunday, also known as Sol’s Day).
