Early weekday masses in Montreal

Hello,

I’m not sure where I ought to put this, but I was wondering if anyone here knew if there is a Church in Montreal (down-town area) where they might offer morning mass before 11:00 AM? I’d like to attend mass before class on Fridays.

I’ve checked my Diocese’s website and the rest of the internet, though I can’t seem to find out. CAF, you’re my only hope!

Thank you. I love Montreal, though at times it can be rather depressing. The Church is less than real to a lot of people here, it seems. I guess the same could be said about the rest of North America (and even Europe perhaps). I’m looking forward to the time when the churches will no longer be able to hold people!

haha the Oratory! Gosh, I’m a big idiot. They have mass as early as 7 AM. Thanks again!

There is Mass at 8h00 at the Franciscan church at 2040 (?) Réné-Levesque, just a couple of blocks off of Atwater (you can’t miss it, it’s on your left if you are walking north), as well as at Marie-Reine-du-Monde and St. Patrick’s. Marie-Reine-du-Monde is French, of course.
Mass at Ascension of Our Lord is 9h00 Wednesdays to Fridays, which is another good option, as you know.
For full listing times, see missa.org/dc_m.php–on the menu on the left, click ‘Tout’ under ‘Activités’ (direct link here); you’ll want to call the church ahead of time to verify Mass times, as the site seems to update perhaps once a year, and so can be slightly out-of-date.
