it is my understanding that the ancient church relied on a
council of bishops with the bishop of rome as the
mediator. the western church needs to return to this
ancient way to bring unity and peace, the east will not
stop splintering until they have the mediator of rome.
both will not be whole until they are united . it is
especially important during this time when the iindustrial
west is trying to live with out Christ.

To say that the Catholic Church is not united is heresy. Please revise your statement. Unity (oneness) is one of the four marks of the Church. The Catholic Church does not need a schismatical Church to join it to be one. The Catholic Church is perfect and immaculate in need of nothing else.👍

Thanks

From the other side, the East isn’t splintering, so we don’t know what you are talking about.

The East is still in union with the West in the Catholic Church. Look up the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church and learn of the many various rites in union with the Latin Rite of the Church which all together make up the Catholic Church.

The Eastern Catholic Churches already function in this way.

Dear Jim28

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you are saying. Would you please explain what you mean by “the Catholic Church is perfect.”
Christ is the Head of the Church, and He is perfect. We are the body of the Church, But we are no where near perfect, at least I am not. If the Church is made up of imperfect human beings striving to be perfect as God is Perfect, how can any Church here on earth be perfect?

Yours in Christ,

Father Deacon Paul
