OK, so I’m a little early, but still … I wish all a Happy Easter!

Christ is Risen! Truly Risen!

And, for our few members of the Syriac Churches (both Eastern and Western), let me say it in our “old” language:

**!ܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ! ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܩܡ **

No offense to the Copts, but I just can’t manage a Coptic type-font! :o 😉

Christos Anesti! Christ is risen! Happy and blessed Pascha!–/Fr. Dcn. Rodian

Христос Воскрес !
Воістину Воскрес !

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Here is a nice little rendition of the Easter Hymn sung in all our parishes on Easter Sunday performed by one of North America’s Ukrainian Bandurist Kapelyas. Sung very nicely. Happy Easter everyone.

Christos anesti! Christ is risen! I wish I could hace spent Easter at my Maronite parish, but I am in Rome.

He is Risen!

Χριστός ἀνέστη, Христос воскрес, ܡܫܝܚܐ ܩܡ, المسيح قام, Christus resurrexit!
(Greek, Russian, Arabic, Syriac/Aramaic, Latin)

A very Happy Easter and Pascha to everyone!

المسيح قام من بين الأموات
و وطئ الموت بالموت
و وهب الحياة
للذين في القبور

Christ is risen from the dead,
Trampling down death by death,
And upon those in the tombs
Bestowing life!

"After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue.
They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
They cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb.’ "
(revelation7:9&10)

Christos voskrese! Voistinu voskrese!
Khristós Anésti! Alithós Anésti!
And for our Coptic and Oriental Orthodox brothers and sisters:
Pikhristos Aftonf! Khen oumethmi aftonf!

Indeed He is risen!

…Shine! Shine! O New Jerusalem! The Glory of the Lord has shone on you! Exalt now and be glad, O Zion! Be radiant, O Pure Theotokos, in the Resurrection of your Son!

Joyous Pascha to all! And thanks be to God for butter and cheese! 😉
