Yes, let us all have a truly blessed Easter. Remeber, this is why we are Christians! I thank the Lord that the world has not twisted and perverted Easter is the same way it has tried to destroy Christmas. There is secularization and commercialization, yes, but not to the same obscene degree as Christmas. Let us all celebrate the fact the Jesus arose, and in doing so defeated sin! His ressurection swung open the gates of Heaven, and because of thet, we can take comfort in our joyous Hope. May God bless all of you during this wonderful Easter Season!

Christ is Risen! He is Truly Risen!

It has been posted on another forum many of us are familiar with, but I thought a lot of our brothers and sisters, not on there would enjoy it.

Thanks for the Easter Greetings but the Eastern Orthodox Christians and those Eastern Christians who follow the Julian Calendar will celebrate Pascha (Easter) next Sunday…👍

There are many Eastern Catholics in North America and Europe who celebrated Pascha today!

ORTHODOX KALENDAR

Like Patchunky says, Orthodox church today is celebrating Entrance of Christ into Jerusalem after Lazareva Saturday. Holy Paskha will be for us next week. This week we have such branches of flower plants (not real palms) to urge each other that in week we will have Resurrection. Here are today’s photographs from Patriarch liturgy in moskow:

(Post Scriptum: Patchunky - your typing font is probably Ukrainian (Ти є уркаїнцем - думаю.) For Slavonic Paskha greett; should be in Slavonic a final hard sign Христосъ not soft sign Христось. But Ukrainian machines do not have such sign - better to just end with letter C than add soft sign. At least that is my opinion on such linguistic issue. Although Slavonic uses this final hard sign, modern Russian does not (one of side effects of Bolshevism).

Yes, you mentioned that. Thank you for posting these beautiful pictures.

Hello Volodymyr!

Thank you for the information but I was using an “English” keyboard. I do not have one
that will type the Azbuka. It just happens that HRISTOS VOSKRES in the Azbuka is almost the same with English letters XPUCTOCb BOCKPECE. I do not have a “hard sign” 😊

I think it is interesting that Patriach is wearing green for Flower Sunday. We (Greko Katolik) wear green only for Green Sunday (50 days after Velykden).
