One reference that I did not understand was “Mary, Egypt’s harlot”. Is there some tradition in Egyptian Christianity that might explain the reference?

The icon in the video at that point is of St. Mary of Egypt, a fifth or sixth century saint revered as a patron saint of penitents. Happy Easter!
