***So…how is your Easter morning, so far? I am so happy…DH is taking the day off today, and we’re heading to his family’s house…yay! :extrahappy: (he was scheduled to work today) Whatta surprise! He has been working sooooooo much, and I feel like we never see each other anymore. 😦 He said he had it planned to surprise us…taking a personal holiday for today!

A wonderful Easter surprise. So…any Easter surprises to speak of today?

Praise be to God…through Christ, all things are made new.

God bless, CAF friends…may you have a joyous day with your loved ones. ❤️ ***

What a great surprise WG. The whole family together for Easter Sunday.👍 We are trying to accomplish the same here but with the college kids it is a little challenging, with them getting back to school.🙂

Easter started last night when my whole family went to the Easter Vigil together. It was a beautiful Mass, and it was good to go worship as a family.

This morning, the “bunny” left me some treats, some money for new clothes, and a DVD of “The Trouble with Angels”, one of my favorite movies!

Today all of my extended family is coming over for a BBQ. It should be fun!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Our Easter surprise was a couple inches of fresh snow. -.- I hope it melts soon, this is rather unusual for our area (even though we’re in Canada :p). People were wishing each other Merry Christmas at Mass this morning. :rotfl: But the bunny did find it’s way to our house, so we have some chocolates to against the snow. 🍿 :snowing: :whackadoo:

So far, our Easter has been FILLED with blessings! :extrahappy:

First, we arrived safely at Mass in the wee hours of the morning! 7:30 a.m. It was a miracle for us, that we were ON TIME! 😃 The Church was absolutely beautiful (as I’m certain all of our parishes were!); And we received a warm, personal welcome from our Pastor. :hug1:

Later, when we got home… we had a long distance telephone call… from my sister in California. It was another wonderful blessing. :flowers: She has just returned to the Church and the Sacraments… after a 30 year absence. It was so good to hear her talk about the Mass… and what she saw and did. And she spoke of her trust in Jesus! So wonderful, to hear these words from her. It certainly did “feed” my own faith!

I’m so grateful to Our Good Lord, for His Mercy! HE IS RISEN!! ALLEUIA!!

Wishing everyone at CAF a blessed and peaceful Easter! :harp:

Wonderful stories all. Yep, too many treats and nice day after beatifully crowded Mass. Enjoy familly and frineds…God Bless you all and Rejoice… 🙂

***Oh my gosh, I was so sad knowing he wouldn’t be spending the day with us. I was so excited that he could…he told the kids and me late this morning…We did the happy dance…all three of us looked like this…:extrahappy::extrahappy: :extrahappy:

😃

Hope you had a happy Easter!***

It’s a film from the 60’s staring Haley Mills. It is about a convent school for girls and these two girls who get into all sorts of trouble with the sisters. It is funny and also heart warming. I haven’t seen it in years and years.

Yes! It’s one of the most accurate portrayals of Catholic school I’ve ever seen. Usually the girls are parading themselves around in the short skirts, midriff tops or they are all brainwashed into praying all the time. I’d reccomend it. It’s pretty funny, plus it has a good vocation message.

I got two Easter surprises - a postive pregnancy test on the Vigil (please keep us in your prayers :D), AND we had friends over. Some of them brought their one-year old. My German Shepherd, who we were worried was afraid of little ones, made a new best friend :p. She followed her around and around, licked her, and was very gentle. With the other news, we were very, very glad - and got some great pics!

awwwww…how sweet. Congrats to you on your pregnancy news!!! Wow…what a wonderful Easter surprise, indeed. Praying for a smooth pregnancy, and even smoother delivery. 😃 Hugs to you, and Mr. pentecostbaby. :)***

Easter was wonderful! Mass was just awesome, I love the incense, the singing, the overcrowded church, when the priest sings some of his Mass parts, fiance at my side…then he and I went to his church. Presbyterian churches are a lot simpler, but what was so cute is that there was a infant baptism during service 🙂 The little girl had to have heart surgery at 11 days old, but she’s doing so good right now…and so cute!

And spent the day with fiance’s family 🙂 Working on school and eating and overdosing on sugar!😛

We went up to my parents’ home after Mass this morning. We got to see my cousin and her family. I haven’t seen her in years. Her husband is in the Army; they were in Germany for several years and are currently stationed in Hawaii. It was so great to see her and the kids.

The best surprise, though, was that her husband was there. He’s back from Iraq; home safe, thanks be to God! Since they have been out of the area for so long, I don’t know him well, but it was so wonderful to see him again, especially with everything he’s been through.

All in all, it was a great day!

I think the best Easter surprise was seeing that Captain Phillips was rescued by the US Navy. What a wonderful Easter gift for him and his family!

Hi again Whatevergirl.👋 Happy Easter! I had a wonderful Easter with my family and my in-laws.

My Easter surprise: after giving up CAF for lent I discovered today this place has totally changed! I’m in shock. My formerly happy golden screen is all gray.😦 After several years here, my membership status downgraded from “senior” to “regular”.🤷 Wider lines of type…group memberships…etc, etc. I’m sure I haven’t discovered all the changes yet.

In any case, Happy Easter! Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

Sounds like you had a fabulous Easter, Whatevergirl! 😃 yeah!
No major surprises here… just lots of family over for a picnic outside at our neighborhood park/Springside… it was a beautiful day!
Happy Easter!

CONGRATS!!!

My Easter suprise was that I’m on call and the pager never went off!!! 👍

Lol, I read the title and couldn’t help but chuckle… DH and I spent the Easter Vigil (Sat night- Sun morning) up taking care of our 2 yr old who was throwing up all night, he had been fine all day. Our 1 yr old had a fever all Sat and Sun, and I ended up in the ER today with both of them. Not quite the Easter we had expected, so it was quite a surprise. They are both getting better now though, thankfully.
