Last night at Easter Vigil we had a fire leap from the Vigil Fire container and seriously burn three members there. Our permanent Deacon, his daughter, and an acolyte were burned. Parishoners reacted quickly and there were two doctors present. Our pastor suffered burns to one hand when he attempted to assist one of the victims. The victims are now at a burn center. Please pray for their speedy and full recovery.

pray for these holy and devout people.

Amen,

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Sorry I did not put this in the original post, but there is another part of the story that may touch your hearts and make you wonder. Six weeks ago, I asked for prayers for Robert who was in our RCIA class and who was in the hospital unresponsive. He subsequently passed away, baptized and given the Last Rites, but not with us for the Easter Virgil he had so looked forward to. We remembered him in a special way. Afterwards, at a reception in the parish hall, his wife told us that Robert had donated his skin for burn victims. We were all stunned. May God bless Robert and those injured in the fire.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Prayers for your intentions….

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers. Amen

Hi Mary,

Sorry that I posted this a second time in the prayer forum, I did not see your post until I searched a little more. I was at I.C. as well for the Vigil Mass and witnessed this right when it happened as I was coming out the door. Very scary stuff, I have been sending prayer requests to friends. Is there anywhere that you know of where we might get an update on the victims’ status? I commend Father for his handling of the situation and quick action to help the male altar server. Father was heroic that night and handled things very well in my opinion given how scary everything was. Saying a Rosary today after work for a quick recovery for the victims and for all at I.C. Parish.
