I saw on Television the Pope’s easter vigil and the women who read the prophecies from the pulpit chanted in Latin in Gregorian chant the " Verbum Domini" once they finished with the vernacular.

How does this jibe with St Paul’s teaching in Corinthians that women cannot preach in Church?
 
They were not preaching. They were saying “the Word of the Lord” in Latin at the conclusion of the reading.
