Hi I was wondering if everyone could share a few different Eastern Church designs. Here a few of the Knanaya Community.

These are very beautiful! I have nothing but respect for non Roman Catholics 🙂

I’ve never actually thought about church architecture before, except for the fact that it’s always beautiful.

The first thing I notice about the Indian churches in the pictures is what seems to be a common motif of a tri-partite division of the face. Am I just imagining that or is there an intentional symbolism to that design?

Blessings,
Marduk

Tri-Partite is very common, I believe its an ancient Syriac design. Other common factors you’ll find in St.Thomas churches is a golden or silver flag staff in the front of the church, an open air cross also at the front, and usually our churches are built on elevated lands.
