I have heard terms like “high petrine” and “low petrine” in this discussion. In all my theological readings, I have never heard such terminology from Orthodox or Catholics?
They are Marduk’s clever machinations. 🤷 Some ECs on CAF will subscribe to them, but I’ve never seen it outside of this venue.

In Christ,
Andrew

I’ve heard universal primacy vs. primacy of honor, but, like you said, I’ve never heard such distinctions outside of this thread!

For a man it’s one thing, but a hairline like that for a woman is another! Though there was a time that was the fashion.

My husband is rather thin on top too, though I notice that it doesn’t seem to have got any worse over the last few years.
I’m 30 and have a thinning spot on the crown of my head. I refused to put sunscreen on it because I have never needed to and I didn’t want to admit I’ve lost that amount of hair. I got sunburned up there. Guess that will learn me won’t it?

😃 I’d go for a hat, the sunscreen is not so good for you.

I just cover it with a Giants ball cap…
And when I do have to look at my thin hair, I just tell myself that I look like Jason Statham! 😃

Well, since we are confessing…I am almost completely bald. Sunburn hurts worse on the head than anywhere else! It was a difficult transition because I used to have long thick shoulder length hair with pipe curls. But my wife likes me bald–so I’m okay with it. 😃

I’d wear a Pirates ball cap—but it has been rather embarrasing for the last 19 years!

I could always wear my Braves “Oh look, we lost the world series again” cap. Thats ok, I’m more into football. I wear my Alabama caps year round. Roll Tide. 😃

Well the Niners haven’t been good in a LONG time so I’ll pass on them. I’m more of a baseball guy. And the Warriors are pretty dang embarrassing…think I’ll stick with my G-Men!

I don’t know those Manning Brothers are tough to beat year after year. To bad the Jets have a bum for a QB.

But ya the Niners became ancient history with Montana/Young.

The term “ancient” is pretty relative in sports. The Niners have a proud history and five superbowls as well as a ton of hall of famers. Walsh is possibly the greatest NFL coach in history along with Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells. They should’ve done great things in the last few years but we’ve had so many coaching issues and for God’s sake we can’t get a good, consistent quarterback. With the new coaching we have I’m hoping we can finally at least GET to the playoffs. My Warriors? Now that’s another dysfunctional story…ouch:blush:

Everyone’s forgetting about the the truly catholic sport played in many RC and Orthodox countries… 😉

In Christ,
Andrew

Is “forgetting” about it the same thing as not caring in the first place? 😛

Hahaha. Oh me, oh my…what have I done…

For the record (so you don’t hurt me) I was talking about soccer. Anglo Americans mostly don’t care about soccer. (I was going to make a Garry Kasparov chess joke, but Wikipedia said he’s from Azerbaijan and that’s hardly an Orthodox or RC country.)
