Step into the riveting silence of Philip Groning’s stunning documentary on the spirituality of Carthusian monks. Filmed without narration and very little dialogue at the Monastery of the Grand Chartreuse in France, Mr. Groning captures the brimming vitality of monastic life and the overpowering sound of God.

Constantine, could you describe what those are?

5Loaves, thanks for posting that! I need to bookmark this so I don’t forget to DVR them.

All of that porcelain stuff is made in Greece by the Orthodox. Does EWTN usually sell Orthodox products?

Im guessing that this is EWTN’s way of trying to incorporate the Holy Father’s Nov. 2011 general intention. And his over-all encouragement for our appreciation of our Eastern tradition brothers and sisters

November 2011

General Intention: That the Eastern Catholic Churches and their venerable traditions may be known and esteemed as a spiritual treasure for the whole Church.

If there an online catalog for Conciliar Press? We’re looking for books for our Eparchial Library.

No, these are the only Eastern stuff they have that I’ve seen so far. I hope to get them by Pascha if things fall in the right place. I know buying from them also supports their ministry.

I haven’t been on their catalog in ages but someone here mentioned they were selling holy icons there, also.

They used to sell the Light of the East series on video but no more. Now they just broadcast certain parts of it at the appropriate seasion. I got a copy used on Amazon. 🙂 I happen to like the series a lot as a very basic intro to ECs.
