Easy-to-attend NO, or difficult-to-attend TLM?

As a student at a Catholic University, I am easily able to attend NO daily Mass, which I usually do, although I do wish it were celebrated with greater reverence. There is also a Seminary nearby which conducts a very reverent NO on Sundays, which I have been attending. However, I’ve recently become aware of a somewhat nearby parish that offers the TLM on Sundays and first Fridays. Though it is not terribly far away, it is also not easy to get to, as the commute takes at least 45 minutes, including a nearly 30 minute walk to the church.

All of you who, like myself, are lovers of Tradition, would you recommend making the effort and going to the TLM parish whenever possible, or simply staying nearby and attend the reverent NO?

When I say you’ll be rewarded for making the extra effort to attend the TLM, that’s an understatement.

Having said that, I’m in a similar situation to you, though without the 30-minute walk.

In bad winter weather, say when there’s a blizzard watch in the forecast like this weekend, I’ll attend a reverent NO.

On a Holy Day of obligation, I attend the closest NO, which is not the most reverent, but which is scheduled at a time I can attend given my working hours.

Anyways, the TLM is awesome, and a joy to attend!

I would recommend making the Sunday TLM whenever possible, as I think it will be very enriching and, I will second, the extra effort to get there will pay off. I’m not one who says you must get to a TLM every Sunday at all costs, though, so use your better judgment and don’t feel bound to go the the TLM every Sunday despite particularly inclement weather, finals week, etc.
