Except that the Apostolic Witnesses were not writing a Catechism. They were correcting, but they weren’t writing a Catechism. If so, the Church would have produced that Catechism a little bit earlier.

This is one of the reasons the Catholic Church has stood for 2000 years. We realize that the Scriptures are one leg of a three-legged stool of Doctrinal Truth.

The Didache is about the earliest catechism like document that I know of…and it is verifiably Christian and from the early church.
